Modern slavery is an international crime, affecting millions of people around the world.
Sadly, vulnerable people from overseas as well as across the UK, are forced to work illegally against their will across many different industries and sectors.
AYCOM Solutions finds the practice to Modern Slavery abhorrent with no place in our World today.
AYCOM Solutions considers that modern slavery encompasses:
· forcing an individual to work , through use of physical or mental means
· attempt to own/control by an employer through mental or physical abuse of the threat of abuse
· human trafficking or being sold as property
· restriction of freedom of movement by an employer
AYCOM Solutions has a zero tolerance policy to Modern Slavery and will cease business with any partners or suppliers engaging in such practice.
AYCOM Solutions acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. AYCOM Solutions understands that this requires an ongoing review of both its internal practices in relation to its labour force and, additionally, its supply chains.
AYCOM Solutions does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
No labour provided to AYCOM Solutions in the pursuance of the provision of its own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. We strictly adhere to the minimum standards required in relation to our responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the UK.
AYCOM Solutions considers its main exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking to exist in the provision of labour provided through third party suppliers.
AYCOM Solutions has a very low reliance on using third party suppliers to achieve its business operations. As a professional services company it generally works in a sector where risk to modern slavery is uncommon. AYCOM Solutions seeks to deliver the majority of its services through its own employee base.
AYCOM Solutions considers its exposure to Modern Slavery to be very low, nonetheless, it has taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in its business nor the business of any thrid party that supplies services to it.
AYCOM Solutions carries out due diligence processes in relation to ensuring Modern Slavery does not take place in its organisation or supply chains, including conducting a review of the controls of its suppliers when forming contracts or onboarding.
We have not, to our knowledge, conducted any business with another organisation which has been found to have involved itself with modern slavery.
In accordance with section 54(4) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, AYCOM Solutions has taken the following steps to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place:
-Reviewing supplier contracts to include termination powers if the supplier is, or is suspected to be, involved in modern slavery.
Any concerns regarding Modern Slavery should be directed to the Managing Director.
This statement is made in pursuance of Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will be reviewed for each financial year.
